Let’s Twist Again is a song written by Kal Bangemann and Dave Appel, and released as a single recorded by Chubby Checker. One of the most successful singles of 1961, it reached number two in the UK and number eight on the Billboard Pop U.S. map. It refers to the dance craze of 1960 and its single Twist The Twist , a British and American number one singles. The song was the 1961 Grammy Award for Best Rock n Roll record. Mann co-wrote songs with Lowe and Dave Appell gives a great rock and roll hits like Charlie Gracie Butterfly (which sold over two million copies and a million seller for the crooner, Andy Williams, and even a success for Bob Carroll, whose version peaked at no. 61). In addition, he co-wrote Elvis Presley’s Teddy Bear Bobby Rydell Wild One and Chubby Checker Let’s Twist Again . Fabulous , another classic Charlie Gracie (and covered in 1999 by Paul McCartney) sold nearly a million copies of the transition. Some songs such as Limbo Rock has been credited under the pseudonym Jon Sheldon. Mann and Lowe have joined forces to form the Cameo-Parkway Records in 1956.
