The song has a strong steady beat. It was also part of the soundtrack of the film Stand By Me It been many others including The Righteous Brothers, 
Barbra Streisand, Searchers, Whiskey Howl, Joe Strummer, Rolling Stones, Roy Orbison, Conway Twitty, Slade, Freddy Fender Buckwheat Zydeco, animals, Fishbone, and most recently in 2008 with George Clinton Red Hot Chili Peppers and Kim Manning.
